What the Committee does

We collect historical pictures and documents about Broad Channel and exhibit such in our public library for all to enjoy. After Superstorm Sandy we started to digitize our expansive collection, which will soon be publicly available in a Virtual Museum. We videotape and record resident’s memories of life in Broad Channel. We organiza a bi-annual Historical Day, and we publish an annual Historical Calendar.

Volunteers needed

If you are interested in technology, and detail oriented, we can use you to help making sure the website has no errors or missing links. Making our digital collection available to the general public is a huge undertaking, and we need people who can do data entry.
