The Historical Society is a committee of the Broad Channel Civic Association

What the Committee does

We collect historical pictures and documents about Broad Channel and exhibit such in our Broad Channel branch of the Queens Library for all to enjoy. After Superstorm Sandy we started to digitize our expansive collection, which will soon be publicly available in a Virtual Museum. We videotape and record resident’s memories of life in Broad Channel. We organiza a bi-annual Historical Day, and we publish an annual Historical Calendar.
